Ar-Rahmaan
الرَّحۡمَٰن
Translation By

55:1
ﭷThe Most Gracious
ﭸ(1)
الرَّحْمَٰنُ
The Most Compassionate
55:2
ﭹHe taught
ﭺthe Quran
ﭻ(2)
عَلَّمَ الْقُرْآنَ
taught the Quran,
55:3
ﭼHe created
ﭽ[the] man
ﭾ(3)
خَلَقَ الْإِنسَانَ
created humanity,
55:4
ﭿHe taught him
ﮀ[the] speech
ﮁ(4)
عَلَّمَهُ الْبَيَانَ
˹and˺ taught them speech.
55:5
ﮂThe sun
ﮃand the moon
ﮄby (precise) calculation
ﮅ(5)
الشَّمْسُ وَالْقَمَرُ بِحُسْبَانٍ
The sun and the moon ˹travel˺ with precision.
55:6
ﮆAnd the stars
ﮇand the trees
ﮈboth prostrate
ﮉ(6)
وَالنَّجْمُ وَالشَّجَرُ يَسْجُدَانِ
The stars and the trees bow down ˹in submission˺.1
55:7
ﮊAnd the heaven
ﮋHe raised it
ﮌand He has set up
ﮍthe balance
ﮎ(7)
وَالسَّمَاءَ رَفَعَهَا وَوَضَعَ الْمِيزَانَ
As for the sky, He raised it ˹high˺, and set the balance ˹of justice˺
55:8
ﮏThat not
ﮐyou may transgress
ﮑin
ﮒthe balance
ﮓ(8)
أَلَّا تَطْغَوْا فِي الْمِيزَانِ
so that you do not defraud the scales.
55:9
ﮔAnd establish
ﮕthe weight
ﮖin justice
ﮗand (do) not
ﮘmake deficient
ﮙthe balance
ﮚ(9)
وَأَقِيمُوا الْوَزْنَ بِالْقِسْطِ وَلَا تُخْسِرُوا الْمِيزَانَ
Weigh with justice, and do not give short measure.
55:10
ﮛAnd the earth
ﮜHe laid it
ﮝfor the creatures
ﮞ(10)
وَالْأَرْضَ وَضَعَهَا لِلْأَنَامِ
He laid out the earth for all beings.
